Annual Awards Banquet at the Coco Palm Restaurant

The CPFHA Annual Awards BanquetThe Annual Awards Banquet was held again this year at the Coco Palm Restaurant in Pomona on the Saturday evening of Equine Affair. This year we scheduled a DJ and Karaoke for our 43 attendees to enjoy; along with a fully catered dinner.

Bob Rains opened the awards portion of the program by introducing new members: Patricia & Maggie Kosich, Jose Ortiz and family, and Michelle McAlister. After opening Bob and KK DuBois presented a fundraiser for sponsorship of the upcoming Carousel show in Arizona on February 11-14, 2010. KK had 50 envelopes each containing $1.00 while one of the envelopes held $100.00. These envelopes were sold to participators for $50.00 each. All the envelopes were bought, with several people buying more than one. One of our new members was the winner of the $100.00 bill. The association was able to raise a large portion of the sponsorship money required to participate in the Arizona show through this fundraiser.

The CPFHA Annual Awards BanquetJesus Cruz announced the 2009 Award Winners and Garth and Gunner White delivered the awards to their receivers.

The dinner and music was great this year. A number of our attendees stayed for karaoke after the awards were handed out and had some fun entertainment taking part in the events. We look forward to what is to come during the 2010 show season.
