What Makes a Great Horse Show?

Whether as competitor or spectator, we’ve all attended horseshows we’ve truly enjoyed. On the other hand, we’ve all attended shows that were, well, pretty boring. What makes a great show? It certainly helps if “your team” wins, but what else?

Here’s what you had to say…

The number one answer is spending quality time with family and friends who share a common love of the Paso Fino. Also noted was having an opportunity to meet new friends who share this interest.

For competitors, there is the opportunity to bond more deeply with their horses and learn and grow.

What about the show itself? What should be expected?

• Central location so as to attract lots of competitors

• Clean, high quality facility

• Entertaining show schedule that flows well

• Professional, informative announcing

• Interesting and informative exhibitions

• Dynamic youth programs

• Entertainment – Good music, food and evening parties

• Unique, breed specific vendors including Paso Fino tack, supplies and memorabilia

• Other fun, unique shopping including show clothes for women and youth

Enthusiasts also expressed a general desire to have opportunities to learn and grow….
